Pinterst: Taxidermy is Technically DIY
Dear Pinheads,
As you may have noticed there has been a new trend popping up across the boards, and we have received many concerned emails, but we at Pinterest encourage you to welcome it with open arms!
We aren't sure where this trend is coming from or why it is spreading so quickly, but these tiny taxidermy rats with beady eyes and weird, ill-fitting costumes are technically classified as DIY.
Some of the more pinned rats include the big rat in a suit playing a grand piano, the skinny rat pushing a grocery cart full of raisins, and the rat with bad posture in a beginners yoga class…
If you are not interested in rodent taxidermy we suggest you avoid these search words: “fall”, “diy”, “blue eyes”, “crafts for kids”, “sweater weather”, “New York”, “spiny tails”, and “destination wedding”. And if taxidermy is your thing, you will have a lot of pinning to do! Really this is a good thing.
We know you are a crafty bunch and believe you can put a fun spin on this strange and upsetting fad. Halloween is approaching, making this a somewhat viable craft! Maybe use some of your favourite buttons! A little ribbon! Some glitter! It will be fun.
I never imagined this would happen but there is nothing we can do now except try and work with it. You can’t fight trends. And there is a picture of a DEAD RAT showing up on all of my boards too, but I am dealing with it. And we appreciate you sticking with us through these trying times.
Ahhh! GOD. I just saw one that was glued to a tiny skateboard, but set up at the bottom of a half-pipe as if it had wiped out, with a tiny cigarette tangled up in its creepy little fingers. Do NOT search for “Gallery Wall Inspiration”.
Alright! Hope everyone is excited for fall as I am! Pumpkins! Hahaha! Please do not click any outside links found on the rodent pins as we don’t know where they lead,
Keep up the good Pins!
